Every time I'm asked to make up a list like this I always have to put this one on top, because it has to be the song of songs for me...the one I'd choose over everything if I had to go to a desert island.

From the magnificent and incomparable Ms Grace. What can I say? She's the queen, the tigress, the muse, the icon, the diva..and much,much more.

I was completely in awe of The Pretenders in the early 70's. Dave and I managed to see them at The Marquee, and they were absolutely amazing. Chrissie is unrivalled, and I've chosen 'Kid' because it just sums up everything about her voice, her sound, and her classic song writing skills.

I got a copy of "Whales n Nightingales" when I was in my late teens and played it non stop. Her voice is pure magic, ethereal and transportive.

Classic Dusty. What else can I say?...Sublime.

There was never anything like Blondie! I was a massive fan and will be forever. This is quinessential Blondie at the peak of their monumental rise to world domination! Love Love Love it!
